Previously... on Rules of Engagement...

Apollo's eyes quickly lit up as he thought of ending this charade once and for all. Granted, they would still have to hide behind their macho reputations, but they wouldn't have to hide from each other.

"You go right now, Bojay," Apollo directed. "I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Um, are you sure?" Bojay inquired upon seeing Sheba's naked form in the background.

"Believe me," Apollo replied sternly. "I'll be there."

"Not if I can help it," Sheba mumbled under her breath.

Apollo turned around to where Sheba sat waiting for his return. She had plans for the evening; big plans. And he was not about to ruin it by running off with Bojay. He smiled at his lover. "Ambrosa?" he inquired.

Sheba smiled and held out her glass to the Captain. Apollo took the glass and made a big show of going over and unsealing a fresh bottle. "Best vintage available in the fleet!"

Warily, Sheba walked up next to him. He was up to something, she was sure of it. Her breasts brushed against his arm holding her glass and he nearly dropped it. Sheba giggled lightly, and took the glass from him, noticing his desire for her returning.

"You should've told Bojay to join us," she purred. "It could have been a very interesting evening."

"Yes, well, I don't know if I'm ready just yet to share you that way," Apollo said as he took her in his arms.

"How is the ambrosa?" Sheba wondered why Apollo was suddenly so interested in ambrosa. In all of her recollections, the Captain had never paid particular attention to vintages, just treating one glass the same as the next.

"It's good. Very smooth. But what's -" Apollo caught his lover as she passed out in his arms. "You'll sleep well tonight, my love. And I'll be back before you realize I'm gone." He slipped her into the bed and pulled the blanket up around her. "Now, onto bigger and better things.

Starbuck was in the Landing Bay waiting for the shuttle that would take him to the _Rising Star. One of the other med-techs had told Starbuck that Cassiopeia said she had a date on the _Rising Star_. 'A date??' Starbuck wondered. 'But who? I'm here. Practically everyone she and I know are here. Except....'

The thoughts that were filling his head made him uneasy, and he thought he had better put an end to all of this before it got out of hand. 'Lords, if the two of them go at it, they could destroy this Fleet better than the Cylons!' The fumarello smoke curled around his head like a lover's finger tracing out all of the desirable places. What an image this was to Bojay who stood in the shadows, watching his would-be conquest.

'Oh how I'd like to have him all to myself,' he thought. 'But Apollo knows him better than anyone. I _need_ Apollo, unfortunately. Where is he?' Just as these thoughts entered his mind, he heard the lift behind him. Quietly, he made his way back to the lift to see who was entering the bay.

Starbuck watched the shuttle arrive, and quickly stepped onto it, before something else happened to stop him.

"Frack!" Apollo swore as he and Bojay turned to see Starbuck step quickly onto the shuttle. "I thought you were going to stop him!"

"You're the one that keeps telling me not to approach him or I'll scare him off," Bojay replied indignantly.

"All right, all right," Apollo said, trying to think of how he could salvage the night.

"What did you do with Sheba?"

"She's sleeping quite comfortably in my quarters," Apollo replied with a mischievous smile.

"But if she wakes up and -"

"Trust me, she's not going to wake up," Apollo cut him off. "She'll be out like a light for at least ten centars."

Bojay smiled, obviously impressed. "And I thought I was the devious one." Apollo smiled back at his friend and lover. "Yes, well I can be devious when necessary.

And tonight it was necessary. We'll take the next shuttle to the _Rising Star_. He's probably just going there to gamble, and we'll lure him back here with the promise of a high-stakes game."

Bojay smiled. "Good plan, and we're not even really lying to him."

Cassie knew what Athena was up to, and was somewhat annoyed. 'I was a socialator, for Sagan's sake. Doesn't she think I've seen and heard practically everything?' But she was not about to let on so quickly. "A private dining area," she cooed. "Lords, I haven't been in one of these since... well, let's just say it was a long time," she baited her adversary as she drained the glass of ambrosa.

Athena knew who she was hinting about being in the dining area with, and the jibe hit its mark. Visibly, she tensed, then tried to relax once again, as she sipped on her own glass and poured another for Cassie. "I thought we should discuss the situation and firm up our agreement and the parameters."

"That sounds like a perfect idea," Cassie cooed excitedly, then decided to tone it down, lest she was laying it on too thick and Athena caught on. She sat down in one of the nearby lounges, and Athena sat down next to her.

"Tough day in the Life Bay?" Athena inquired as she watched Cassie finish her second glass of ambrosa.

"Oh Athena, you wouldn't believe the problems we have down there!"

Absent-mindedly, Athena put a hand around the back of Cassie's neck and began to gently massage her while placing her glass down on the table. Cassie moaned with pleasure. "That feels so good. Almost as good as... well, never mind."

Athena moved in back of Cassie, with her legs spread on either side of her adversary and began to massage her with both of her hands. She had to resist the urge to put both of her hands around her neck after the last remark. She had a purpose tonight, and it had to be played out for her to get the information she needed. There would be plenty of time to gloat _after_ Starbuck was hers.

"How is that?' Athena asked softly and seductively.

"Mmmmm," was all that came from Cassie. Athena kept one hand rubbing Cassie's neck, while the other traveled to the front of the almost see-through dress and found one very hard nipple. Gently she began to tease and rub it with her free hand as she leaned in and ran her tongue along the nape of Cassie's neck.

Athena undid the tie of Cassie's dress at her neck, and let the front fall down, exposing Cassie's breasts completely.

'Now she'll take it from here,' Athena thought smugly.

But Cassie did nothing except sigh contentedly and lean back against Athena. "That was nice... a little treat with no real expectations..."

'No real expectations!' Athena was alarmed. She guess she had been spoiled by being able to arouse Starbuck so easily. This was a seduction she would have to work for.

She pulled Cassie to one side and kissed her, powerfully, seductively, long and lingering, inserting her tongue between Cassie's red lips, slowly easing her down onto the lounge underneath her.

Cassie was impressed. Athena was quite a good kisser. She allowed the war feelings of desire to wash over her. It would be wonderful to allow the current scenario to play out as Athena wanted it to, but that would give Athena way too much information. Maybe once Starbuck was hers, she could allow herself a tryst with her, if Athena wasn't too upset.

Athena broke off the kiss and traveled down Cassie's body until she reached one of her breasts. As she began to lick and suck, Cassie put a hand on the back of Athena's head and moaned. She was getting to her, she was sure of it. Now all she would have to do is sit back and watch what Cassie did to her...

"Wonderful... simply wonderful Athena..." Cassie murmurred, once again seeming content.

'All right,' Athena thought with determination. 'I'm beginning to take this personally.'

With renewed determination to entice her adversary, Athena once again kissed Cassie and slid the remainder of Cassie's dress down her body. Athena had to admit that she was a beautiful woman. The hair, those lips, this body....

'I can't get lost in the moment. I have to keep my focus on what I want...' She said. 'Once I have Starbuck perhaps I can indulge myself, if Cassie's not too upset.'

Cassie hadn't been wearing any underwear, as Athena had surmised. Her fingers gently probed between her legs and found it warm and wet. Despite Cassie's attitude, Athena could see she was having an effect on the ex-socialator. Good. She ran her tongue up and down along Cassie's body as her fingers gently stroked the area between her legs.

Cassie moaned with pleasure. Athena was _too_ good at this. She had obviously had some practice somewhere. It was something Cassie would have to look into.

'Could this be her first time with a woman... I doubt it. Does she make Starbuck do all the work?' Athena doubted it. She was an ex-socialator. She had skills that Athena could only dream of. It was just a matter of getting her to use them...

Athena was beginning to feel a heaviness between her own legs. She wanted Cassie, wanted her very badly. She wanted to lay underneath her as she did things that had been a part of Athena's wildest fantasies; things she had read about in books she and her friends had smuggled into the Military Academy and read to each other in the night after lights-out. But Cassie was making no moves to do anything of the kind.

'Maybe if I take care of her first, she'll pick up for a second time. Maybe that's how she's used to doing it.' Athena's hands slid back between Cassie's legs to the warmth an wetness as her tongue once again entered her mouth. Gently she probed and inserted a finger lips so she was inside her while her thumb continued to caress her clit. Cassie cried out in pleasure.

Athena's face registered shock as Cassie's own grew a sinister grin.

"You don't think I know what's going on here? It was a good try, but I'm not about to give away any secrets. I didn't train all of those years for nothing. Besides, Athena, you have to be licensed to use some of the moves I have. Of course, after Starbuck has chosen me, I'd love to rekindle this little liaison. I'll gladly indulge you in whatever you want then."

Athena's eyes narrowed. "You little -" This time she did go for Cassie's neck with both hands. Cassie pulled back and screamed as Athena lunged at her. Athena crawled on the floor after her adversary, while at the same time Cassie backed away. When she reached the lounge, there was nowhere to go. Cassie sat herself up on the lounge quickly, then pulled a pillow off the back and began trying to fend the angry warrior off with it.

Cassie had good aim, Athena would give her that. Athena leaned over to one of the other chairs in the room and pulled a cushion off and began to return fire.

The pillow in Cassie's hands split open and anseriform feathers began to filter around the room. Quickly she threw it at Athena and grabbed two more pillows. Athena showed no signs of letting up as the other two pillows split open and even more feather flew around them, landing in their hair, their faces, their bodies, and especially the spots on their legs where their own wetness coated them.

Cassie screamed again as Athena lunged at her.

The door to the room opened. Both of them stopped their fighting and turned, seeing Starbuck standing in the doorway, an amused smirk on his face. The Maitre'D of the restaurant stood behind him, obviously enjoying the sight of the two naked women with
feathers around the room.

"Starbuck, what the frack -" Athena stopped herself as her brother and Bojay appeared in the doorway behind him.
